University Life Curtin Connect is part of University Life. We offer many different services to aid you in managing the demands of study, work and everyday life. These include services related to your health and well-being, coming to terms with the university, your future and expanding your horizons.
CISWA CISWA (Council for International Students Western Australia) is an independent and non-profit organisation run by volunteers which exists to support international students in WA.
Cultural Sensitivity Notes and Country Briefing Sessions To help you in better understanding the complexities of the many different societies and cultures of the world in which Curtin is a major player.
Curtin Volunteers! CV! is a student run, non-profit organisation that has existed at Curtin for over ten years. They offer many different volunteering opportunities which are a great way for international students to get involved with the local community, as well as meeting other international students and meeting Australians.
DOLIE DOLIE (Department Of Languages and Intercultural Education) offer a range of courses and opportunities for learning the languages and cultures of countries such as China, Japan, Indonesia and Korea. These can be combined with business, education, public health or media degrees.
Ethics, Equity and Social Justice EE&SJ exists to provide an equitable and fair environment for all who are involved with the university. They advocate an international outlook, cultural diversity and an informed respect for Indigenous Australians.
Housing Curtin's housing service seeks to provide or locate appropriate housing on or off-campus for students and staff. With close to 1200 bed places available on or close to Curtin's Bentley campus and a large database of off-campus housing at hand, it is likely they can find something to suit your needs with minimal delay.
International Clubs A list of Guild-registered International Student Clubs and contact details. This is a great place to get in contact with those from your home country or region.
International Office The International Office exists to advise international students regarding their studies at Curtin.
International Student Committee The ISC is Curtin's Student Guild representative body for international students at Curtin. The committee exists to improve Curtin's international students' quality of education, welfare and social standing.
International Student Experience The International Student Orientation Advisor is responsible for the orientation and transition of international students who come to study at Curtin. Also provided on the web page is information for international students who are returning home.
The Learning Centre The Learning Centre offer academic support programs to aid students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, with their performance in their studies. Services include programs aimed at helping students whose first language is not English with their English skills, writing and essay skills and study skills workshops.
