Student Advisors
All new and current students have access to the Student Advisors who are located at Building 102, Hayman Hall.
What do we do for you?
We are aware that as students you may have both personal and academic issues that can arise whilst you are here studying. We can be your first point of call when you want to have a question answered or you wish to have someone to talk to about your concerns.
If we cannot help you directly, we will be able to refer you to an appropriate person or service that can.
Our service is free and confidential.
We provide the following services and more:
- Smooth transition into university life for new students
- Personal issues
- Academic concerns (eg conditional status, struggling with units, course choice etc)
- Advice on how to handle complaints and grievances
- Liaising between you and your faculty or school (Course Coordinator, Unit Controller etc.) if you have problems explaining yourself
- Any other situation that you are unhappy with or unsure of
We are part of University Life support services and have extensive knowledge and experience of various student issues.
You can contact us directly via the details below, make an appointment or drop in. If we are free to see you we normally try to see you right away. If not, we will arrange an appointment time that is suitable for you.
